5 Things I want you to know about me

I needed to come up with 5 things about myself I felt were worth mentioning for the pageant website. Here they are! I greatly enjoyed coming up with these. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

1. I am truly blessed to be married to a wonderful, hard working, strong and determined man. We have been married 7 years and he is very supportive of all of my endeavors. We met in Organic Chemistry class and though he was one of the only people in the classroom at the time, I chose the seat right behind him. The rest, as they say, is history.

2. My platform is inspired by a very special person I am privileged to call my sister. Janice has Down Syndrome and she is my biggest fan. My life is forever better because she is in it. She has taught me to embrace differences and that everyone deserves to live a full meaningful life. My work with The Arc has helped me to not only express this wish publicly, but to live it as well.

3. I obtained my Doctor of Pharmacy Degree in 2011 and I have been working as a retail pharmacist at an inner city location for over 2 years now. It is far from easy, but the times when I can truly help someone and see the appreciation in their eyes make it all worth it. My patients trust me and I won’t let them down.

4. We foster Weimaraners for The Weimaraner Rescue of the South. There is something so completely rewarding about bringing a homeless dog into your home and teaching them to be a family pet. You can see the dog change from scared and unsure, to happy and confident. It is sad to see them go when they are adopted, but knowing you helped a dog find their forever home is a joy that can’t be replicated.

 5. In my spare time I keep a beauty blog and youtube channel. I absolutely adore this hobby of mine. The whole process of creating a blog post, capturing and editing the photos and videos, and watching it all come together ignites a fire inside me. I am truly passionate about it, and I love finding new ways to express this aspect of my persona.
